I posted this blog to give hope to others who diagnosed with maculopathy.
September last year 2008, I've noticed a black spot, eye blurriness of my right eye central vision. I then have my eyes checked with our local Eye Doctor in our area. The doctor said that the problem is in the back of my right eye, a swelling in my retina. I was then diagnosed with Maculopathy. The doctor gave an eye vitamins and an eye drop for a month hoping to reduce the swelling. Unfortunately after a month it didn't go off, instead it's getting bigger which make my right vision getting worst, the doctor then advice for a Retinal Focal Laser Surgery. The surgery took approximately a minute and it cost me $250. Five days after,I started to notice a sight improvment, the block spot gradually disappear each day.One month later, the doctor examined my right eye and found out that it recovered to 95% of vision.I can see clearly this time.
The doctor gave me lutein vitamin, one tablet a day along with proper diet to maintain a healthy eye sight .
As of this posting, my right eye is now 100% clear vision.
